Experience-fueled learning
What is experience-powered learning?
Experience is the most powerful teacher of all. And Northeastern University is the world leader in blending real-world experiences with cutting-edge classroom education to deliver maximum impact for you.
No matter which graduate program you choose, your classroom learning will draw from the challenges and successes of real businesses. You may even have opportunities to engage directly with leaders and teams from companies across the globe through professional work, research, or service—from renowned firms to exciting startups.
In the classroom
Through your coursework—designed with input from our corporate partners—you'll learn as much from experience as you will from textbooks.
You'll study under faculty who are renowned business leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs as well as outstanding teachers. Exploring case studies and collaborating on applied team projects will deepen your understanding of core business concepts. You'll also share and discuss the lessons you learn through co-ops, residencies, or consulting projects—and benefit when your classmates do the same.
“Northeastern wrote the book on how to blend and fuse together the classroom learning and the workplace.”
Kate Klepper, Associate Dean
Corporate residency
If you're a Full-Time MBA or MS in Finance/MBA student, you'll pursue a unique corporate residency that allows you to earn a full-time salary at a leading firm or startup in your field. Integrated into your curriculum, this residency is intense, empowering, and meaningful work—and it can set you apart in a crowded job market.
Graduate co-op
If you're an MS in Business Analytics or MS in Finance student, you'll have the option to apply your learnings to a strategic project for a host firm in your field. Typically, over the summer term, you'll get acquainted with workplace culture and build your network as you help advance the company's business goals.
“When you connect the lessons you're learning in class to real business decisions being made—and participate in that process—you learn in a way that is permanent and powerful. That's why talented people choose Northeastern for their graduate studies, and why employers recruit our students for open positions.”
Susan Antonelli, Graduate Career Center Senior Director
