Virtual Work Experience Programs
Want to learn what it's like to work for a leading company? Virtual work experiences allow you to “work” for a real firm, but in a simulated format—so you can build your skills and your personal brand and explore what your day-to-day could look like working in different industries.
Through these virtual work experience programs, you can discover different career paths and learn valuable skills in a risk-free environment. You'll gain confidence and perspective by completing simulated assignments designed by real employers—and potentially raise your profile with them for a future job. During your virtual work experience program, you will:
- Sample what work is like at leading companies
- Discover career paths you may not have considered
- Build confidence and gain skills to get you work-ready
- Apply classroom learning to business challenges
- Compare your results to actual projects completed by real employees
- Gain a personalized certificate of completion for your resumé and LinkedIn profile
We encourage all D'Amore-McKim graduate students and alumni to participate in virtual work experiences.
What your virtual work experience may look like
A virtual work experience program is an online course created by a participating company that simulates the day-to-day tasks you'd carry out if you were an employee. Once you register and choose your program of interest, you'll be briefed online on your assignment.
A typical program takes five or six hours to complete. You'll complete and submit all tasks virtually, working at your own pace.
