The Instructional Design Group (IDG) for the D’Amore-McKim School of Business is committed to providing services, support, and training to faculty and staff on how to effectively integrate technology into the classroom and beyond. We strive to strategically empower faculty, staff, and administrators to discover, design and deliver innovative, inclusive, and student-centered learning experiences that generate impactful knowledge and develop leaders who will shape business in a landscape of digital convergence. 

We offer a wide variety of training opportunities, development programs, and initiatives to promote and facilitate the effective integration of innovative technology into the teaching and learning process.

Our team offers the following services:

  • Technical Support: We provide technical support and training for Northeastern University’s learning management system(s) including assistance with the course copy process, adding and organizing course content, adding asynchronous and synchronous discussions and other learning activities. 
  • One-on-one Consultations: Our team provides individual and group consultations to match resources, tools, and strategies to your specific needs. 
  • Training Opportunities: We host bi-monthly workshops to promote teaching and learning strategies and the use of educational technologies including Canvas, PollEverywhere, Microsoft Teams, and more.
  • Special Projects: The Instructional Design Group provides long-term assistance for special projects including online or hybrid course development and digital badging.
