Program Overview
Our graduate certificates are short-term programs that focus on 17 different key topics of business. Pursuing a graduate certificate allows you to specialize your studies in the area of business that best suits your interests or career goals. You can expand your business knowledge in new topics or strengthen existing skills to advance your career potential and distinguish you from your peers.
- Program Structure: Full-time, part-time, or online.* Students will complete four to six business courses, or 12-15 credits.
- Class Schedule: Classes are held weeknights on our Boston campus, Monday–Thursday, or 100% online.
- Time to Complete: Eight months to three years.

Courses tailored to your goals. Choose from a broad range of electives to supplement your required courses and build the knowledge and skills you need to position yourself for professional growth. Fill in gaps in your business acumen or strengthen key areas to expand your career potential.
Build toward something more. When you are ready to pursue a graduate degree at Northeastern University, the credits you earn during your graduate certificate program may be applied to eligible D'Amore-McKim master's programs, including our Part-Time or Online MBA. This is a valuable opportunity to turn your career-enhancing graduate certificate into a more advanced professional credential.
Optional Practical Training (OPT). Nine of our graduate certificates are compliant with F-1 visa regulations. For international students studying full-time, you'll take five classes over an eight-month period (two semesters of full-time study). If you successfully complete 15-credits on our campus, you may become eligible to apply for Optional Practical Training (OPT), allowing you to work for up to 12 months in the U.S.

- Interview Required? International applicants who are not native English speakers must demonstrate English language proficiency. You may demonstrate this in one of two ways: submit your test score from TOEFL iBT, IELTS, or PTE academic; or complete an intake interview. We recognize the challenges that you are facing are unprecedented and we are here to help you. In addition to the TOEFL and IELTS*, D'Amore-McKim will accept scores from the online Duolingo English Test.
