Prepare to lead in an increasingly complex world

While data and technology are transforming the way we do business, human relationships remain at the core of success. Organizations need impactful leaders who can foster a healthy culture and develop effective workforce management strategies.

Our Leading People & Organizations concentration will prepare you to lead and manage in ways that empower employees and achieve organizational goals. Through coursework in building and leading teams, negotiating, forming inclusive organizations, and more, you'll develop strong communication and leadership skills, as well as the cultural agility to operate globally. With a focus on the digital future of business, you'll also gain a deeper understanding of how emerging technologies like AI and robotics impact the workforce—preparing you to create and nurture effective teams now and in the future.

This concentration is ideal for

  • MBA and MS x in Boston students who want to take on leadership roles
  • Emerging leaders interested in jobs like executive development manager or department director
  • Students looking to build an advanced leadership toolset

The leadership concentration and coursework will be helpful as I continue my time in the Coast Guard and management positions. Leadership is a skill demanded of military personnel as you lead teams of various sizes through different missions and goals. My concentration has introduced a lot of new techniques and skills to help me best manage those teams.
