The MS in Accounting/MBA program is designed for recent graduates and early-career professionals from non-accounting backgrounds—bringing diverse perspectives to business challenges. In this 15-month combined degree, you'll complete sequential courses in accounting, business, and analytics alongside a dedicated cohort. Upon graduation, you'll be ready to launch a successful accounting career.

In 15 months, you'll complete a comprehensive accounting curriculum, a corporate residency, MBA courses to round out your business perspective, and a critical 12-credit analytics concentration that will prepare you for the digital future of accounting.

No. The MS in Accounting/MBA is designed specifically for students who studied other disciplines as undergraduates or who earned their accounting degree outside the U.S. You'll build a strong foundation in accounting from day one, alongside peers with similarly diverse academic and professional backgrounds. Our students represent a wide range of majors, like theater, music, economics, and history. Employers at top accounting firms are looking for leaders with diverse experiences and points of view, which makes your unique background a valued asset.

Yes. International students must meet additional requirements, including proof of English language proficiency, a valid passport, and English translations of academic transcripts. Our international graduate students page provides more information about applying and the benefits of choosing D'Amore-McKim. 

Yes. International students in F-1 immigration status are eligible for a corporate residency using Curricular Practical Training authorization. When you complete your program, you may become eligible to apply for Optional Practical Training (OPT), which, if granted, allows you to work in the United States for up to 12 months. We encourage you to work closely with your career advisor and an advisor in the Office of Global Services.

Northeastern University's D'Amore-McKim School of Business is currently test-optional and does not require applicants to submit GRE or GMAT scores.
