Bloomberg Global Trading Challenge

Test your investing skills against global competition  

There's nothing like this live trading experience to prepare you for the fast-paced investing world. And it's the only university investment competition that takes place entirely within the Bloomberg Terminal! Join a team of three to five students coached by Northeastern's Bloomberg faculty advisor and test your mettle against dozens of other university teams worldwide. 

You'll be given a hypothetical $10M to invest on a closed network over the eight-week challenge, using investing principles you've learned in the classroom and applying them daily in an intense, exciting competition. You'll hone your financial analysis skills by experiencing Bloomberg Terminal like portfolio managers, traders, and analysts do.  

Collaborate and communicate with your team on Bloomberg Terminal to . . .  

• Define your market assumptions 
• Develop a strategy to generate returns 
• Execute trades over a closed network during a specified period, watching your results and team rankings live and adjusting your strategy as the market shifts 

The top three teams will be invited to Bloomberg headquarters in New York City to present their strategies—and meet Bloomberg recruiters. The team with the highest relative P&L at the close of the competition wins the Global Grand Prize!
