Richard Herron joined the D’Amore-McKim School of Business in 2019 after working as an Associate at Cornerstone Research and an Assistant Professor at Babson College. He earned his Ph.D. in finance from the Graduate Center and Baruch College of The City University of New York. Previously, he served as a submarine warfare officer in the U.S. Navy, completing two deployments aboard USS Alexandria (SSN-757) and teaching at the U.S. Naval Academy. His research focuses on empirical corporate finance, particularly payout policy and investment under uncertainty.
