Barb Murrer is a seasoned Insights professional with a career spanning over three decades. During her tenure at The Clorox Company and Levi's Strauss & Co. she utilized consumer and marketplace research to drive profitable growth for major brands in packaged goods and apparel. Barb's research experience encompasses a wide range of areas, including new product development, advertising, in-store and on-line optimization, sustainability, corporate communications, pricing, promotion, positioning, marketing ROI, acquisitions, and investor relations. She has a long track record of coaching and developing high performing teams and has served on cross functional business leadership teams helping guide strategy and performance.

As an industry leader in the Insights field, Barb has contributed extensively to the Advertising Research Foundation (ARF) where she served as a board member. Barb also served as the first female chairperson from an advertiser in the ARF's ninety-year history. Within the ARF, she was one of the founding members of WIDE (Workforce Initiative for Diversity and Excellence), an initiative that has awarded over one million dollars in scholarships to students at four partner schools. WIDE also extends support through mentorship and internships.

A longtime resident of the Bay Area, Barb has called Oakland home for over two decades. Originally from Rochester, New York, she and her husband currently have two sons in college.
