‘They want you to be your best self.' Women innovators celebrate Northeastern spirit

On Northeastern's 125th birthday, woman innovators gathered to celebrate their work and build community amongst women entrepreneurs.

Innovator Award Winners gathered at EXP for a reception on Founders Day to usher in a new era in Northeastern's 125-year history.

Honorees included 2021 Innovator Award from Northeastern's Women Who Empower inclusion and entrepreneurship initiative, Khailah Griffin, DMSB'22. Griffin founded UnorthoDOCx to create a community for non-traditional pre-medical students and provide them with resources.

A handful of undergraduate students a part of the Women's Interdisciplinary Society of Entrepreneurship (WISE) also joined the festivities. Aditi Bansal, DMSB'26, credits the organization with giving her invaluable experiences. Through WISE, “I have met amazing founders, investors and alumni that I never would have gotten the opportunity to meet otherwise,” she says.
