Q:What are you studying at the D'Amore-McKim School of Business and when do you plan to graduate?

A:The D'Amore-McKim School of Business has several very interesting certificate programs. At first, I wasn't sure if I wanted to do a Graduate Certificate in Marketing or in Business Administration but I finally decided that the more specialized Graduate Certificate in Marketing would be a better fit for my career.

Q: What skills are you building at D'Amore-McKim that you will use in your future career?

A: In most of my classes, we discuss case studies. It is efficient to learn through examples as we can see what worked and what didn't work in real life for real companies. I also improved my strategic thinking skills by trying to identify scenarios that would be positive for those companies. Team work is also something very important at D'Amore-McKim not only for the group projects and for helping each other learn, but also for networking. The Graduate Certificate in Marketing has allowed me to learn so many things from the classwork, the other students, and the professors.

Q: Why did you choose D'Amore-McKim?

A: I have a background in communication and a master's degree in Digital Publishing, but I have always been interested in marketing. My goal is to improve the way people do marketing in publishing. As I already have a master's degree, I was hesitant to start another degree that would take me a couple of years to complete without even knowing if I liked marketing. While researching my options online, I discovered the D'Amore-McKim's graduate certificate programs. These were perfect for me because the commitment is two semesters and I am able to learn basics in marketing before deciding what I want to do next.

Q: What would you say to a prospective student considering D'Amore-McKim for their business degree?

A: I would highly recommend the D'Amore-McKim School of Business for anyone interested in a degree in business and marketing. The professors are captivating, they go beyond just teaching you the syllabus. Classes at D'Amore-McKim are like nothing I have ever experienced before. Not only do we learn things from the professor but they continually engage students in the conversation so that we all learn from each other as well.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 or 10 years?

A: In 5 to 10 years, I would like to be head of a marketing department in a publishing company. Just like digital gave a new face to publishing, digital marketing is truly different from awareness marketing. I would like to implement and improve digital marketing in the publishing industry.

Q: How has D'Amore-McKim helped you become more?

A:D'Amore-McKim has taught me that there is nothing you can't do if you work hard enough for it. I can't wait to see what the future holds for me for at D'Amore-McKim school of business!
