Q:Where is your hometown?

A:New Canaan, Connecticut

Q:What did you study at the D'Amore-McKim School of Business and what is your graduation year?

A:MBA, Health Care Management, 2018

Q:What did you do in your corporate residency? What were your responsibilities? How did you impact the business?

A:I did my residency at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care on the Corporate Information Management Team.

Q:What skills did you build at D'Amore-McKim that you are using in your corporate residency or will use in your future career?

A:Project management and overall operations assessment. What are the steps to making a business as profitable as possible while still empowering employees and having it a fun place to work.

Q:What was the biggest take-away from working toward your MBA at Northeastern? What can you do today that you couldn't do before you started your MBA?

A:Case and team focused learning allows you to connect real world scenarios and gain different perspectives from working with your learning team. I have a greater appreciation of social and workplace norms, both around the United States and the world, from working with others that I didn't know existed before coming to Northeastern.

Q:What was your most valuable experience?

A:In my spring group project, we had to act like entrepreneurs to design, forecast, and determine what the future of a start-up company would look like.

Q:Why did you choose D'Amore-McKim?

A:The location! Boston has so many opportunities within the health care field. Also, the corporate residency program allowed me to gain experience before graduation.

Q:What would you say to a prospective student considering D'Amore-McKim for their business degree?

A:Sit in on a class for each school you are looking at attending and really see how the students interact before, during, and after class. The discussions typically don't end at the end of the class period but continue in the hallway or grad lounge to further understand each other's perspectives.

Q:Where do you see yourself in 5 – 10 years?

A:Hopefully in a management role within the health care industry, most likely on the insurance side rather than provider. It would be great to still be in the Boston area, but I would like to experience another part of the country and world too.

Q:How has D'Amore-McKim helped you to become more?

A:It forced me to challenge myself both professionally and personally.
