Global Entrepreneurship Week is the largest celebration of innovators and entrepreneurs in the world. Sponsored by the Kauffman Foundation, more than 180 countries are participating in Global Entrepreneurship Week this year. Through various programs and events held by businesses, organizations, and academic institutions, Global Entrepreneurship Week stimulates entrepreneurial spirit – inspiring people to create their own startup companies and giving existing entrepreneurs an opportunity to share their expertise.

November 16, 2020

Dunton Family Dean Raj Echambadi kicked of GEW with a conversation between Betty Francisco and Segun Idowu focused on entrepreneurial pursuits and building an equitable economy.

November 18, 2020

The 2020 Husky Startup Challenge celebrated the entrepreneurial endeavors of our Northeastern community during an unprecedented time. During the event, a dozen ventures competed against one another for cash prizes and the approval of D'Amore-McKim judges, including Steve Golden; Kate Murdock, DMSB'18; and Greg Skloot, DMSB'12. Rachel Dombe, CSSH'24, won first place for her venture Rooted Living, a mission-driven, eco-friendly, plant-based snack company. 

Dombe shared her excitement in regards to winning and highlighted her experience with the E-Club in a LinkedIn post.

During the Demo Day event, members of the Northeastern Entrepreneur's club shared their community experiences during an Instagram takeover. Look back at the event here!

NEXPO's 2020 theme was resilience, an idea many of the participating ventures held onto as they pivoted strategies, decisions, and future planning during a global pandemic.
