Nineteen D'Amore-McKim School of Business students recently received 2017 Excellence in Cooperative Education Awards.

Co-ops completed by the class of 2017 spanned six continents, 14 countries and nine states, all providing professional skills in over 30 companies.

Co-op is integral to Northeastern's education model, with more than 90 percent of students completing one and 76 percent completing two or more.

The following are profiles of this year's honorees:

Danielle Antico, a BS in Business Administration (BSBA) management and entrepreneurship major, held co-ops at Third Sector Capital Partners, Inc. in Boston, MA and EF Education First, in Cambridge, MA. In addition to her co-op experiences, Antico studied abroad at L'Université Catholique de Lyon, in France. She has accepted a full-time position as an associate at Third Sector Capital Partners, Inc. in Boston, MA.
Bradley Applegate, a BSBA marketing and finance major with a minor in psychology, had three co-op experiences, including one at Johnson and Johnson in Princeton, New Jersey. He was involved with the Northeastern University Marketing Association and the Northeastern University Public Relations Student Society of America. He has accepted a full-time position with the Dell Marketing Leadership Development Program.
Emily Bartolotta, a BSBA finance major with a minor in political science, graduated in December 2016 after experiencing three co-ops. She went abroad twice, studying in Thessaloniki, Greece and Cape Town, South Africa. She has accepted a full-time position with Stifel Nicolaus & Co., in San Francisco, California where she will work in public finance investments as a banking analyst.
Miranda Beggin, a BS in political science and business administration finance major with a minor in global social entrepreneurship, had three co-op experiences, including one in Amman, Jordan at Oasis500. She was awarded the Critical Language Scholarship for studies this summer with a host family in Morocco. When she returns, she will work as an associate at Third Sector Capital Partners, Inc. in Boston, MA. She was recently recognized as a “best and brightest” undergraduate business major by Poets&Quants.
Jesse Blackwell, a BS in Business Administration (BSBA) marketing major was involved in many organizations including Kappa Sigma, the Club Powerlifting Team and the Northeastern University Marketing Association. With three co-op experiences in Massachusetts behind him, he will work in IBM's Consulting by Degrees Leadership Development Program in Cambridge, MA.
Matthew Fahey, a BSBA finance and accounting major with a minor in economics, experienced three different co-ops, including one at Credit Suisse in Chicago, Illinois. Fahey was involved in many organizations, including the Student Value Fund and the Finance and Investment Club. He has accepted a full-time position as an equity research analyst at Goldman Sachs in New York City.
Ashley Frizzell, a BSBA marketing and supply chain major, graduated in December 2016 with three co-op experiences and two international experiences to her name. Frizzell took part in Dialogues of Civilization in Italy and India. She was involved with Circle K and the Northeastern University Marketing Association, as well as other organizations. She has accepted a partner marketing specialist position at VMware in Palo Alto, California.
Jeremy Goldstein, a BSBA marketing and information systems major, has accepted a full-time position as a performance marketing professional at IBM Security in Cambridge, MA. His co-op experiences included QuickBase Inc., in Cambridge, MA, VMware in Palo Alto, California and Shoebuy.com, in Boston, MA. He was recognized as a “best and brightest” undergraduate business major by Poets&Quants.
Rebeca Hammel Rodriguez, a BSBA management major with a minor in cultural agility, had two co-op experiences. One at Egon Zehnder International in Atlanta, Georgia, where she has accepted a full-time position as a strategy analyst. She was involved in many organizations including the D'Amore-McKim co-op peer-mentoring group, Women in Business Club and the Sociology and Anthropology Student Association. .
Kimberly Hersch, a BS in International Business (BSIB) accounting major, experienced three different co-ops including PwC in Boston, MA, Hasbro Far East Ltd., in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong, and Hasbro Inc., in East Providence, RI. She has accepted a full-time position as an assurance associate at PwC in Los Angeles, CA.
Sean Keogh a BSBA finance and accounting major, studied abroad at the London School of Economics. He was involved in many organizations including the Finance and Investment Club, Entrepreneurs Club and Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. His three co-op experiences included PwC in New York City, Grantham, Mayo and Van Otterloo & Co., in Boston, MA, and State Street Global Markets in Boston, MA. Keogh has accepted a deals consultant position at PwC's Mergers and Acquisition Advisory Practice in New York City.
Elodie Kwan, a BSIB finance major with minors in Spanish, completed three co-ops, two of which were international. Kwan was on co-op at Eco Fuels Kenya (EFK) in Nanyuki, Kenya and Accuracy in Madrid, Spain, where she also studied at the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas. She has accepted a position with Eco Fuels Kenya.
Victoria Liceaga, a BSBA marketing an entrepreneurship major, held three co-ops while at Northeastern, including two for the same company. She worked at iRobot in London, UK, and Bedford, MA, the latter of which she will now work at full-time as a product marketing specialist. Liceaga also experienced two international learning endeavors at the Swinburne Institute of Technology in Australia and ESIC Valencia, Spain.
Madison Manos, a BSBA finance and entrepreneurship major, experienced three co-ops while at Northeastern, including positions at Antera Therapeutics in Boston, MA, Amazon.com in Seattle, Washington, and The TJX Companies in Framingham, MA. She also studied abroad at the ESIC School of Business and Marketing in Seville, Spain. Manos has accepted a full-time position with Amazon's Operational Finance Rotational Program. Her first rotation will be in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Anthony Melnick, a BSBA supply chain and information systems major, held three co-op positions at Amazon Web Services in Seattle, WA, DePuy Synthes in Raynham, MA and Bose Corporation in Framingham, MA. Melnick was involved in many organizations on campus including the Supply Chain Club, Best Buddies and Russian Speaking Club. He will be joining IBM's Consulting by Degrees leadership development Program.
Erika Nothnagel a MS in International Management, BSIB accounting and finance major, Spanish minor, has been offered a full-time position by IBM's Consulting by Degrees Leadership Development Program in Cambridge, MA. During her time at Northeastern, she studied abroad at the Universidad de las Américas Puebla in Mexico, and experienced co-op in Mexico at RSM International in Mexico City.
Mirasol Quintanilla, a BS in finance major with a minor in social entrepreneurship, had three co-op experiences. She built professional skills while at Goldman Sachs Agency Lending in London, UK, Goldman Sachs Agency Lending in Boston, MA, and EY in Boston, MA. She will be working as a Business Consultant with EY in Boston full-time beginning this summer. While at Northeastern, she went on two Dialogue of Civilizations in the Dominican Republic and Cuba.
Nina Waskiewicz, a BS in management and entrepreneurship major, experienced two co-ops while at Northeastern, at Ceres Inc., in Boston, MA and Bluewolf in New York, New York. Her international experiences include studying at The University of Sydney in Australia, and on a Dialogue of Civilizations in The Dominican Republic and Cuba.
Cole Weppner, a BS in finance and mathematics major, will work as a Merger Arbitrage Research Analyst at Grantham, Mayo, Van Otterloo & Co., in Boston, MA. He experienced co-op here at Northeastern, as well as two additional places of employment, Brookside Mezzanine Partners in Stamford, CT, and John Hancock Financial Services in Boston, MA. While studying at Northeastern, he took part in the Dialogue of Civilizations in Greece.
