Are you interested in starting your own podcast but have no idea where to start? Molly Beck, DMSB'09, recently founded, a site that enables users to record, edit, and publish their podcasts for free. In addition to recording, users can also create art for their shows and delve into collected data about their listeners.

Now, thousands of podcasts can be found on including those focused on sports, video games, and even tiny houses.

Randi Zuckerberg, the chief operating officer of Zuckerberg Media recently invested in, said Beck.

She hopes to bring podcasts into the same popularity trajectory as YouTube video creatives.

“Podcasting is in its infancy,” said Beck. “People who start now will be the ones who amass the biggest audiences.”

Beck began her personal marketing with her website, Smart, Pretty, & Awkward which launched in 2008. After working at Venmo as the head of brand marketing, she helped launch the podcast division at Forbes Magazine.

Now, she runs her own podcast site.

“The most exciting thing about my job is getting notifications when new podcasts go live,” said Beck. “More and more are going up than I can even keep up with.”
