Q&A with Camille Super, Senior Consultant at Accelare

Q: What qualities do you look for when selecting corporate residents?

A: Because the nature of our work is client-facing, we seek individuals who are poised and professional. Strong verbal and written presentation skills are essential as much of our interaction involves high-level executives, including those in the C-suite. While prior business experience is valuable, we also value diverse perspectives and backgrounds.

The ability to collaborate is crucial, given the project-based nature of consulting. D'Amore-McKim's emphasis on teamwork is invaluable in preparing students to thrive in this environment.

Q: Can you describe any mentorship that was offered by your organization, what that might look like, and what the results were?

A: We pair each corporate resident with a mentor throughout their program, and mentors are carefully matched based on student goals and interests. Students have the freedom to decide meeting frequency and topics. We aim to provide support beyond traditional managerial roles, helping them grow personally and professionally within and beyond Accelare.

Q: How do Full-Time MBA students benefit from doing a corporate residency at Accelare?

A: One standout feature is the high likelihood of students engaging directly with clients right from the outset. As full-fledged consultants, they're fully immersed in projects, treated as integral team members, and entrusted with significant responsibilities. This approach provides invaluable real-world work experience with ample opportunities to collaborate closely with our CEO, team leads, and executives. We aim to expose students to various aspects of consulting from day one, offering a comprehensive and authentic experience.

A competitive advantage of D'Amore McKim's Full-Time MBA students is their ability to hit the ground running thanks to their rigorous academic training, which makes them well-suited for our team.

Q: Would you recommend D'Amore-McKim's corporate residency program to business associates from other organizations?

A: We've experienced nothing but success with candidates from the program. Everyone pursuing an MBA demonstrates immense initiative, drive, and curiosity. This innate motivation is a significant asset when considering potential hires. From day one, these candidates have consistently exhibited professionalism and made meaningful contributions to our team.
