Moderator

Barbara Larson is Executive Professor of Management and Partnerships Director at the D'Amore-McKim School of Business, Northeastern University, where she has been on faculty since 2012. Dr. Larson teaches courses in managing change and disruption, innovation management, high-performing teams and organizational behavior. She conducts research on virtual work and remote work, and training of digital workers. Her work has been published in Harvard Business Review, Academy of Management Perspectives, Management Science, and Management Teaching Review, among other outlets.

Before her academic career, Larson spent 15 years in various international finance and operations roles in industry, most recently as Director of International Finance at R.R. Donnelley. She earned her doctorate (D.B.A.) from Harvard Business School, M.B.A. from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and B.A. from the University of Virginia.

Panelists

Shanikwa Davis, MSA '11, MST ‘14, CPA, is a senior tax advisor and principal at S. Davis Tax Consultants, Inc., an enrolled agent and an online tax instructor for Northeastern University Graduate School of Business. She works extensively with families, their attorneys and investment advisors as they identify planning opportunities and appropriate filings to ensure they follow fiduciary filings. In addition, Davis provides tax planning, advisory and accounting services to assist companies to run their businesses effectively and efficiently with areas of focus in individuals (whether resident, nonresident, or multi-state income tax filings), tax compliance as it relates corporations, flow through entities', estates, trusts and gift tax reporting. She also prepares returns, administrative filings, advises and represents corporate entities and individuals worldwide.  

Leah Riley, MBA Candidate‘22, graduated in 2013 with a dual-Bachelors degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and prior to attending the MBA program at D'Amore McKim, Leah worked at two different companies; Sapient Consulting and Harvard Medical School. She joined the D'Amore McKim MBA class of 2022 to spearhead a change in her career. As part of the corporate residency during the program Leah worked at IBM – Watson Health as a Financial Analyst. Post MBA, Leah has accepted a job at AstraZeneca (formerly Alexion Pharmaceuticals) where she is working today as a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Business Partner.
