How do Venture Capitalists think?  With a special focus on the current climate, we will delve inside the minds of two Northeastern venture capital alumni to learn how they secured jobs in the field and how they think about investing in new deals. This is a must attend event for any budding entrepreneur or aspiring financier.

Join Northeastern alumni Helene Servillon, AMD'12, Partner at JourneyOne Ventures and Sergio Marrero, E'07, Manging Partner at Rebel One Ventures as they share their stories on why and how they got into venture capital. In this masterclass, they will share their perspectives on the current landscape of venture capital, what the challenges and norms are in the field, and they'll touch on the various movements that have started to increase diversity at the investor and founder level. Towards the end of their discussion, they will provide effective tips to those who are looking to apply to VC jobs or pitch their investment idea to a VC and want to stand out from the crowd.

The session will be moderated by Eliana Berger, DMSB ‘22, co-founder of WISE and Golden Heroes and venture partner at Contrary Capital.
