Earn a Bloomberg certification
Earning a Bloomberg certification is a great way to dive deeper into finance, and there are several paths. As an undergraduate, you'll earn your BMC certification just by taking Introduction to Business (BUSN 1101), where it's built right into the course. Graduate students can gain certification through select classes that integrate Bloomberg training into the curriculum. And if you're part of the 360 Huntington Fund, you'll typically complete the certification as part of that immersive, real-world investing experience.
When hiring companies see I have a Bloomberg Market Concept certification, they know I've done my homework and have the skills. This certification is an important asset for any company when hiring a team member, and it put me in a favorable position during my hiring process.”
Kavan Pandit, MS in Quantitative Finance'22
The Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) self-paced e-learning course offers an interactive introduction to the financial markets. Using the power of the Terminal, you'll learn how to complete modern financial workflows.
It's divided into eight sections:

The Bloomberg Environmental Social Governance certification will prepare you to design, implement, and report on strategies that help organizations act ethically and responsibly. You'll learn how to implement ESG strategies and prepare ESG reports for regulators from the perspective of a buy-side asset management firm.
You'll complete seven modules:

A Bloomberg Market Concepts certification on your resumé tells an employer you've embraced an analytics perspective and that you have the skills and discipline to learn new software tools. This differentiates you as you enter the crowded job market.”
Vincent Muscolino, Lecturer in Finance and Bloomberg Faculty Advisor

I earned my Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) Certification through my Portfolio Management class. In the financial world, Bloomberg is utilized on a daily basis. I have used it at every job. Very few people though, are actually “certified.” My certification will benefit me throughout my career.”
