RAJESH AGGARWAL
Professor, Finance
PhD Harvard University
 
Professor Aggarwal's current research interests include corporate governance, the economics of organizations, optimal capital structure, bankruptcy, executive compensation and incentives, initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, hedge fund performance evaluation, and stock market manipulation. His current teaching interests include corporate finance and international finance. Prior to Northeastern University, Aggarwal has taught at the University of Minnesota, University of Virginia, University of Michigan, Oxford University, and Dartmouth College. He serves on the Board of Directors of Medical Health Plans and has consulted for a number of firms and government agencies.
 
RUTH AGUILERA
Professor, International Business and Strategy
PhD Harvard University
 
Professor Aguilera's research interests lie at the intersection of economic sociology and global strategy, specializing in international corporate governance, corporate social responsibility, and internationalization. Preceding her role at Northeastern, Aguilera served as Associate Professor at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Her research has been published in various prestigious journals, including the Academy of Management Journal and Academy of Management Review. Aguilera is Senior Editor at Organization Science, Associate Editor at Corporate Governance, and Guest Associate Editor at the Journal of Internal Business Studies. She also serves on the editorial boards of Strategic Management JournalGlobal Strategy Journal, and Academy of Management Perspectives.
 
JOHN DENCKER
Associate Professor with Tenure, Management and Organizational Development
PhD Harvard University
 
Professor Dencker's research examines the effects of corporate restructuring on the employment relationship, public policy programs designed to help the unemployed transition to entrepreneurship, and generational dynamics in the workplace. Prior to joining Northeastern, Dencker served as Associate Professor at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign's College of Business, as well as a post-doctoral fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development in Berlin, Germany. He is best known for his work in entrepreneurship, labor markets, and organizational restructuring, and has been published in several leading journals. Dencker sits on the editorial boards of the Academy of Management Journal and Administrative Science Quarterly.
 
MARK HUSELID
Distinguished Professor, International Business and Strategy Director, Center for Workforce Analytics
PhD SUNY at Buffalo
 
Professor Huselid's current research and consulting focuses on the linkages between HR management systems, corporate strategy, and firm performance. He has published numerous articles on these topics. Prior to Northeastern, Huselid was Distinguished Professor of HR Strategy at Rutgers and Editor of the Human Resource Management Journal. He serves on editorial boards of several journals and on the Board of Directors for the Founder's Affiliate of the American Heart Association. Huselid is author of multiple international bestsellers, recipient of various HR essayist awards and is among the most frequently cited scholars in the field of management.
 
JAYANT KALE
Philip R. McDonald Chair and Professor, Finance

Professor Kale's current research focuses on the role of product market considerations and agent incentives in corporate finance and mutual fund investment decisions. His teaching interests include undergraduate, MBA, and PhD courses in Corporate Finance, as well as undergraduate and MBA courses in International Finance. Prior to joining Northeastern, Kale was H. Talmage Dobbs, Jr. Chair and Professor of Finance at Georgia State University's J. Mack Robinson College of Business. He also taught at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, Indian School of Business, and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.

NADA SANDERS
Distinguished Professor, Supply Chain and Information Management
PhD The Ohio State University
 
Professor Sanders' research and teaching interests include business forecasting, data-driven business decision making, and global supply chain management. Prior to Northeastern, Sanders held the Iacocca Chair at Lehigh University and was selected to join the Gordon Cook Conversations. She ranked in the top 8% of authors in research productivity in U.S. business schools and has authored numerous articles appearing in premier scholarly journals. Sanders has provided consulting and executive training for companies such as NIKE,IDC, Scitex Corporation, AT&T, and MTC Corporation and is frequently called upon as an expert witness in the area of forecasting.

FELIPE CORTES
Assistant Professor, Finance
PhD Washington University at St. Louis
 
Professor Cortes' current research is in the area of corporate finance and banking, with a particular focus on the determinants of corporate cash holdings and loan securitization. His primary teaching interests are finance and investments. Prior to joining Northeastern, Cortes was a Graduate Teaching and Research Assistant at Washington University in St. Louis. His many accolades include Best Poster in Washington University's PhD program Poster Presentation and Award Session and his work with the Financial Intermediation Research Society. Cortes looks forward to his upcoming participation in the December 2014 International Finance Meeting in Paris.
 
BRIAN FITZGERALD
Assistant Professor, Accounting
PhD Texas A&M University
 
Professor Fitzgerald researches how aspects of the audit process influence professional judgment. He recently received a grant from The Center for Audit Quality to study how auditors can mitigate the effect of management's biasing preference in the audit of significant accounting estimates. Fitzgerald's teaching interests include financial accounting and auditing. Fitzgerald was Ernst & Young LLP's Sector Resident for the North American Mining & Metals practice. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Accounting Association, as well as a reviewer for Auditing: A Journal of Practice & Theory.

DIRK LIBAERS
Associate Professor, Entrepreneurship and Innovation
PhD Georgia Institute of Technology
 
Professor Libaers' research interests are technology commercialization, high-tech entrepreneurship, and new product development. He has taught MBA and undergraduate courses in new venture creation, new product development, and business model development. Prior to joining Northeastern, Libaers was an Assistant and Associate Professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City's Regnier Institute for Entrepreneurship & Innovation. He worked for over 12 years in project and general management for both the construction and consumer electronics industries in Europe and the Far East. Libaers has received numerous awards for his research and has multiple publications.
 
VALENTINA MARANO
Assistant Professor, International Business and Strategy
PhD University of South Carolina
 
Professor Marano's research explores how firms' embeddedness in complex global governance systems shapes their behaviors and performance. Marano's teaching interests include cross-cultural negotiations; corporate social responsibility; business ethics; and international strategy, business, and management. Prior to joining Northeastern, Marano served as Assistant Professor of International Business at University of Alabama. She has been awarded for her reviewing services and functions as reviewer for many journals including the International Business Review, as well as for the Academy of Management and Academy of International Business annual conferences. Marano sits on the Communications Committee of the AOM's International Management Division.
 
OLEKSIY OSIYEVSKYY
Assistant Professor, Entrepreneurship and Innovation
PhD University of Calgary
 
Professor Osiyevskyy's primary research lies in analyzing and designing innovative business models to provide guidance for proper strategic responses of established companies to disruptive innovations in their industries. Additional research areas cover entrepreneurship, sustainability, and advanced statistics. His teaching interests include high-tech entrepreneurship and strategic management. Prior to joining Northeastern, Osiyevskyy founded an Internet startup. His expertise in analyzing and designing innovative business models for high-tech companies earned him the prestigious Izaak Killam Memorial Scholarship along with numerous other awards from the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship.
 
CINTHIA SATORNINO
Assistant Professor, Marketing
PhD Florida State University
 
Professor Satornino's research interests include social systems and networks, focusing specifically on the interrelationships between social structures and their influence on consumer segments and organizations. Her additional research interests encompass network analysis, influence and power, new product development, and influential hubs. Satornino's teaching interests center on marketing research and management, along with principles of marketing. Satornino brings 15 years of industry experience in strategic planning, consulting, and CRM to Northeastern. Her extensive research and knowledge in marketing has earned her various accolades, including the Academy of Marketing Science's New Mind award, as well as publication in multiple prestigious journals.
 
CHRISTIAN THOROUGHGOOD
Assistant Professor, Management and Organizational Development

Professor Thoroughgood's research interests primarily reside in the areas of leadership, counter productive work behavior, and diversity in organizations. Within these areas, his current work addresses the role of followers' personality traits, values, and identities in leadership processes; the role of dispositional and situational factors in shaping toxic supervisor-subordinate relationships; the mediating and moderating influences on responses to coworker envy and social exclusion; and the experiences of stigmatized identity groups in the workplace.

NICOLE WRIGHT
Assistant Professor, Accounting
PhD Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University
 
Professor Wright's research interests include how judgments are formed and how actions are decided upon in an accounting and auditing context. Her teaching interests span all accounting topics, with a focus on auditing and financial accounting. Prior to joining Northeastern, Wright spent eight years in the assurance practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers where she was afforded the opportunity to work on financial statement audits for clients whose industries ranged from government contractors, to not-for-profits, to consumer and industrial products and services. These audits also ranged from small to large engagements that lasted most of the year.
