Why Global Business & Strategy?
As your first year draws to a close, you'll take an important professional step and declare a concentration in at least one of our principal fields of business. The global business and strategy concentration focuses on analyzing industry structures and competitive dynamics in global markets. The courses combine rigorous, analytical thinking with careful attention to different institutional environments to illuminate aspects of firm behavior, market structure, and organizational design. The concentration provides opportunities to analyze organizational capabilities and how to enhance them and enables students to assess the requirements of doing business in different economic and political systems.
Anticipated career trajectories include positions in consulting; strategic planning and analysis in multinationals and government agencies; and business development in new start-ups and small enterprises. This concentration is specifically part of the combined major in International Affairs and International Business.
