Integrating classroom instruction and academic thinking with authentic, experience-powered learning is what we do best at D’Amore-McKim. It’s an approach that expands your knowledge base, develops your creative mindset, and prepares you to meet the shifting demands of today’s business world.

As a MS in Finance student, you’ll have ample opportunities to dive headfirst into experiences that will give you a fresh perspective and in-demand skills. In this program, you can . . .

  • Perform equity research and portfolio management with the student-managed 360 Huntington Fund responsible for nearly $1M of the School’s endowment. (open to those studying on our Boston campus.)
  • Online and part-time students have the option to enroll in an elective International Field Study course. This course allows eligible students to study and travel abroad gaining new perspectives on global business, and meet faculty and fellow classmates in person.
  • Design and complete project assignments related to your own company or a company that you aspire to work for after your program completes
  • Work with IDEA, Northeastern’s student-led venture accelerator

Northeastern’s IDEA is a student-led venture accelerator that helps startups in different stages of business—most are college students who are trying to build their own companies. I helped a couple of them with finance, but because of the strength of my undergraduate degree, I was also coaching them on marketing strategies, product development, and other things. It was a fantastic experience.
