As a MS in Finance student, you'll have ample opportunities to dive headfirst into experiences that will give you a fresh perspective and in-demand skills. In this program, you can design and complete project assignments related to your own company or a company that you aspire to work for after your program completes.
Northeastern's IDEA is a student-led venture accelerator that helps startups in different stages of business—most are college students who are trying to build their own companies. I helped a couple of them with finance, but because of the strength of my undergraduate degree, I was also coaching them on marketing strategies, product development, and other things. It was a fantastic experience.

Get intense exposure to the global business environment with this elective course, which immerses you in the business practices and culture of another country. Open to students studying part-time.
Apply to join the management team of a real mutual fund. No matter what your experience level with managing stocks, you'll learn invaluable skills in an environment that no simulated fund exercise can match. By participating, you can earn 1 credit per semester up to three times.
