*About STEM Designation
STEM-designated academic programs meet the requirements of the U.S. government regarding the study of science, technology, engineering, and math.
International students on an F-1 visa who successfully complete a one-year full-time graduate degree program can apply for Optional Practical Training (OPT) work authorization, which allows for 12 months of work eligibility in the United States. If you successfully complete a STEM-designated program, however, you can apply for an additional 24-month OPT STEM Extension, allowing you to work in the United States for up to 36 months after graduation.
Please note that of our two MS in Finance programs, only the Full-Time MS in Finance meets the requirements for STEM designation and F-1 visa compliance.
