Dr. Oltiana Muharremi is an Associate Professor of Accounting in the Department of Business Administration at the Leo J. Meehan School of Business, Stonehill College. She served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Finance at Bentley University for the last three years. Muharremi’s research focuses on microfinance, corporate governance, taxation, financial ethics, rural development, foreign direct investment, and digital banking. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals, including Corporate Governance and Sustainability Review, Business Ethics and Leadership, and Acta Universitatis Danubius. Œconomica. She serves on editorial boards and the scientific committee of the Virtus Global Center for Corporate Governance.
In the classroom, Muharremi emphasizes practical applications of accounting and finance, integrating case studies and empirical research to develop students’ analytical, ethical, and decision-making skills. She also brings professional experience from the microfinance sector, which informs her teaching and scholarship.
