Q:What skills are you building at D'Amore-McKim that you will use in your future career?

A:The D'Amore-McKim School of Business has taught me many skills that I am using in my career. Some skills include time management, multi-tasking, communication and interpersonal skills.

Q:How has the abbreviated, 7-month length of the program benefitted your career progression?

A:The abbreviated 7-month length of the program benefitted my career progression by allowing me to expedite the process of becoming an eligible candidate to earn my CPA license and advance my qualifications within my workplace.

Q:How has your learning experience been impacted by the combination of distinguished scholars and lead practitioners in their field working as professors for the program?

A:My learning experience has been impacted tremendously by the professors in this program because of how transparent they have been. Additionally, all my professors have made me comfortable to reach out to them in search of advice or recommendations. Learning about their choices, their successes, and their aspirations has been very enlightening to my studies, my personal inspirations, and my overall life.

Q:In which ways, if any, is big data covered in your course work? How do you plan to leverage this knowledge in your future career?

A:Big data has been a very important topic in my course work. Thanks to my education on this topic, I plan to discuss potential opportunities for the firm I currently work for to implement some big data software into their Audit Department. I believe it would be extremely beneficial for us as a whole, and would make our engagements more efficient.

Q:Why did you choose D'Amore-McKim?

A:I chose D'Amore-McKim because of the positive reputation of the program and the professors. I knew that D'Amore-McKim perfectly fit my needs because of the intensity and accelerated nature of the program. Also, the strong course descriptions made me determined to take full advantage of the courses to help prepare me for my CPA studies.

Q:What would you say to a prospective student considering D'Amore-McKim for their business degree? 

A:I would encourage them to strongly consider D'Amore-McKim for their business degree. It has been such a positive outcome for my career and opened up many opportunities for my future. I would suggest taking advantage of the accelerated programs because many programs do not offer them.

Q:Where do you see yourself in 5 or 10 years?

A:I see myself working in public accounting as an Audit Manager, settled somewhere on the South Shore (MA) and with a beautiful family.
