The International Business and Strategy (IB&S) Group offers innovative academic programs that prepare students for success in today's rapidly changing global economy. U.S. News & World Report consistently ranks our B.S. in International Business (BSIB) program among the Top 20 in the nation.
Students learn with faculty members who are widely recognized as experts. They come from diverse disciplines, including economics, history, management, psychology, and sociology. Members of the group are Fellows of the Academy of International Business, the Association for Psychological Science, the National Academy of Human Resources, the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and the Strategic Management Society, and serve as editors, associate editors, and editorial review board members of leading management journals.
Among the world's most prominent collections of international business and strategy scholars, faculty research conducted in the IB&S Group focuses extensively on firms' strategies in an international context and on aspects of global leadership. More specifically, they examine multinational corporations from advanced and emerging markets; reverse innovation; global talent management and workforce analytics; global entrepreneurship and innovation; global health care management; and global corporate governance, ethics, and sustainability. Much of this scholarship is spearheaded by the Center for Emerging Markets (CEM).
Most notably, our D'Amore-McKim faculty produced the most publications in the Journal of International Business Studies (JIBS) of all universities in the world from 2016-2019, according to the UT-Dallas Top 100 Business School Research Rankings.
