The Center for Emerging Markets has supported Faculty Fellows in their research with research mini-grants. From 2009 to 2012 these grants were paid out of a research grant awarded to the center by the US Department of Education (BIE Program). Subsequently, these grants have been funded by gifts by Northeastern University faculty (as part of the University's EMPOWER campaign), alumni, and an anonymous donor.
