CEM provides grants to Northeastern University students to pursue innovative projects addressing pressing problems in emerging markets through the Srinivasan Family Awards for Projects in Emerging Markets.

We support several student clubs and organizations and an interdisciplinary undergraduate minor in emerging markets, among other academic programs.

We also invite undergraduate students interested in deepening their involvement with emerging markets to become CEM Student Associates.

Student Grants

CEM invites grant proposals from students and clubs at Northeastern University to conduct research, organize a conference, explore a startup idea, participate in a service-learning project, or pursue other innovative projects that address pressing problems in emerging markets around the world.

Student Clubs

CEM proudly supports a growing network of student clubs and organizations dedicated to involving Northeastern University students in cultural and professional affairs in emerging markets.

Become a Student Associate

Student Associates strengthen and expand Emerging Market-related programming and research at Northeastern by serving as CEM's undergraduate ambassadors. Associates entering their final academic semester may be recognized as Student Fellows. Undergraduate students from all Northeastern schools and colleges are welcome to get involved.

Minor in Emerging Markets

This 16-credit undergraduate minor in emerging markets introduces students to the challenges and opportunities that face companies in countries that are rapidly developing into more developed world economies. Open to business and non-business majors.

Other Academic Programs

CEM encourages students to enroll in academic programs focusing on International Business and Emerging Markets at the D'Amore-McKim School of Business. Many of these programs are open to students from any Northeastern University college or school.
