Stacey Agretelis is a finance professor specializing in corporate finance and investments, including alternative investments such as ESG investing. She brings over 30 years of investment management experience to the classroom, having most recently served as Head of Investment Sustainability at Aflac Global Investments. Prior to Aflac, she was Managing Director of Investments and Head of ESG at Manulife Financial Corporation.
Agretelis' career at Manulife spanned multiple roles of increasing responsibility. As an investment officer, she developed expertise across diverse asset classes and market sectors, conducting financial analysis and risk assessment for complex investment opportunities. She managed a $3 billion diversified portfolio, investing across sectors including food and beverages, metals and mining, and automotive. In her senior leadership role, Agretelis led the development and implementation of a comprehensive sustainability strategy for Manulife's $400 billion general account portfolio, including integrating ESG considerations into core investment decision-making, measuring greenhouse gas emissions and establishing net zero targets.
