As an experienced accounting professional, Julie mentors the next generation of business leaders. Her experience as a CPA at a Big Four firm equips her with the insight and expertise to guide students as they transform into accounting professionals who lead with impact and integrity.
Julie directs graduate accounting programs at D’Amore-McKim, leading a talented team that engages, enrolls, and advises students from various backgrounds. She cultivates and manages corporate partnerships with Big 4 and global accounting firms to support experiential learning, job placement, and curriculum optimization. Additionally, Julie mentors students individually for tailored career planning.
Before working at Northeastern University, she taught accounting at Des Moines Area Community College. She managed the Volunteer Income Tax Preparation (VITA) program on campus in conjunction with United Way, supporting over 200 low and middle-income individual returns filed annually. Prior to her academic career, Julie worked at EY as a tax manager. As a CPA, she advised clients on federal and state & local tax, and handled income tax accounting, compliance, and consulting projects.
