Williams' interests are primarily in financial and managerial accounting as well as Corporate Governance, Ethics and Financial Reporting. She teaches both at the undergraduate level as well as in the MBA program and the MS Accounting Program. She focuses on how to make informed decisions using financial data.

Industry and Academic Experience

Williams has spent most of her recent career at Massachusetts Institute of Technology negotiating and implementing large international programs in Russia, Singapore, and Portugal.  She was also the CFO at the Sloan School of Business at MIT.  Prior to her experience within the higher ed sector, she was a Senior Director at Fidelity Investments focusing on operational improvements and significant change management efforts across many divisions of Fidelity.  Most recently she has been consulting with a new start up university in Vietnam. She is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants
