Q:Where is your hometown?

A:Cranston, Rhode Island

Q:What did you do in your corporate residency? What were your responsibilities?

A:I dealt with strategy and business analysis for Novartis Pharmaceuticals. I focused on a particular area in Novartis' portfolio and had real impact on decisions affecting its performance.

Q:What skills did you build at D'Amore-McKim that you are using in your corporate residency or will use in your future career?

A:I (learned) a combination of hard skills such as critical problem solving and financial and statistical analysis, as well as soft skills such as communication and how to effectively work with others.

Q:What was the biggest take-away from working toward your MBA at Northeastern? What can you do today that you couldn't do before you started your MBA?

A:That the answer is always out there. Whether you have to question your professor, your classmates, or books and journals in the library, you can solve the problem at hand. Although I learned much (while earning) my MBA, it's more than learning direct knowledge in class. I learned how to find that knowledge for myself.

Q:What was your most valuable experience?

A:My most valuable experience was the career management program during my first year. It helped me develop and experience networking, while building a better understanding of the corporate residency program and the interviewing and hiring process.

Q:Why did you choose D'Amore-McKim?

A:I chose D'Amore-McKim because of its corporate residency program that gave me real-world experience for sufficient time for me to understand roles and responsibilities. I also chose it because of its proximity to the heart of one of America's major cities, and the closest major city to my hometown, and because of its reputation for academic excellence.

Q:What would you say to a prospective student considering D'Amore-McKim for their business degree?

A:This is an excellent opportunity to learn about yourself and the world of business. You will be given the chance to build useful skills and a base of knowledge that will help you develop experiences in the real world through the corporate residency program.
