As Northeastern's men's basketball team prepares for its first NCAA tournament since 1991, another student squadron – this one comprised of top talent from D'Amore-McKim School of Business – just completed its fourth Final Four run in 8 years at Georgetown University's Business Strategy Challenge.

The D'Amore-McKim School of Business undergraduate team of Tianyuan (Tian) Bai, Megan Reuss, Maxim (Max) Russkikh, and Mary Tobin, along with their advisor Will Lovely, placed second at this year's Northeastern University – Consortium for Undergraduate International Business Education (NU-CUIBE) International Business Case Competition, held on campus from Oct. 30-Nov. 1, 2014.

Tiffany Kelley, MS/MBA'08, recognized a need for better tools to help nurses and improve patient care. She set out to fix that problem and founded Nightingale Apps, a health information technology company offering mobile applications aimed at improving safety and increasing efficiency for nurses delivering direct patient care in hospital settings. She is now developing the venture's initial product, Know My Patient. We asked Kelley to share her inspiration for her business and what she's learned along the way.
