Timothy J. Rupert
Accounting Professor and Accounting Group Chair
Professor Rupert's interests include cognitive and decision-making processes of taxpayers and tax practitioners. His research uses behavioral methodologies to examine the impact of changes in the structure of the tax system on decision making and fairness perceptions.
Professor Rupert is a member of the editorial board for the Journal of the American Taxation Association, Behavioral Research in Accounting, Advances in Taxation, and Advances in Behavioral Accounting Research.
Dan Sunderland
Professor of Practice, Accounting
Known as a thought leader and innovator in the accounting profession, Professor Sunderland comes to Northeastern after an impressive 38-year career at Deloitte. He has served a wide variety of clients directly, including Fortune 50 clients, during the course of his career.
In addition, over the last five years Sunderland has served as the Chief Auditor of Deloitte & Touche LLC. In this capacity, he has had regular interaction with a variety of regulators (SEC, PCAOB). These regulatory interfaces – often coupled with extensive Board interaction – have equipped him to help companies evaluate, respond to, and, ultimately, remediate singular risk-based events in not only the US, but also globally.
Raheme Taylor
Raheme Taylor
Straight out of the Bronx, New York, it's Raheme Taylor! Born in the Big Apple, but with strong ties to Jamaica, Raheme spent part of his childhood in the vibrant community of Portmore. As un undergrad at Howard University, he deepened his understanding of the black experience attending an historically black university. Summer internships at JP Morgan Chase solidified his interest in financial markets and inspired him to seek formal education in accounting and business. Raheme is a passionate sports fan, following several teams that can make or break his mood. He loves the Miami Heat, the NY Yankees, the Giants, and the French football club Paris Saint-Germain. In his free time, Raheme likes to work out, write poetry, and make new connections with people. He's an avid listener to all sorts of music genres such as hip-hop, rock, old Soul, and R&B music. Raheme's journey has taken him through a variety of experiences, and now he's excited to start this new chapter in Boston at Northeastern!
Olivia Cox
MS in Accounting/MBA ‘25, Dickinson College, International Business & Management
Olivia grew up in Kennebunkport, Maine, and from a young age, found a passion for meeting new people through various summer jobs and used her free time to explore New England. Eager to continue broadening her horizons, she chose to attend Dickinson College for the opportunity to study abroad in Málaga, Spain, which only deepened her interest in connecting with new communities and discovering new places. At Dickinson, Olivia completed two internships for public accounting firms in Maine and volunteered for the VITA Tax Clinic in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Through these experiences, she found a strong connection to the business and accounting world. Recently graduated with honors, she is excited for the opportunities that Boston offers for connecting with people, exploring, and being closer to her hometown. Olivia enjoys spending free time outside, reading mystery novels, doing puzzles, and hiking.
Julie Chasse
Director, Graduate School of Professional Accounting
As an experienced accounting professional, Julie mentors the next generation of business leaders. Julie directs graduate accounting programs, leading a talented team in engaging, enrolling, and advising students from a broad range of backgrounds. Julie's experience as a CPA at a Big Four firm equips her with the insight and expertise to guide students as they transform into accounting professionals who lead with impact and integrity.
Julie cultivates and manages corporate partnerships with Big 4 and global accounting firms to support experiential learning, job placement, and curriculum optimization.
Kellianne Frankel
Recruiting Specialist, Graduate School of Professional Accounting
As a recruiting specialist for the MS in Accounting/MBA and MS in Accounting programs, Kellianne enjoys getting to know future learners and their individual career goals. She is passionate about helping to set students' career trajectories on a path of stability and growth. She hosts events for prospective students to share the unique features and benefits of our programs. Kellianne serves as a member of the Graduate Admissions Committee, reviewing applications and making admissions recommendations.
