Industry & Academic Experience
Professor Ginsberg comes to the D’Amore-McKim school having been a tax shareholder in the firm CBIZ-Tofias, (formerly Tofias, P.C.) where his experience included shareholder in charge of the tax department, and Chairman of the Tax Committee of BKR, an international affiliation of regional accounting firms. His client handling responsibilities included both public and private companies, with industry representation from manufacturing, distribution, venture capital and non-profit.
While at CBIZ-Tofias, Mr. Ginsberg was an adjunct professor in the Northeastern M.S.T. program and also taught courses at Salem State University. Prior to CBIZ, Mr. Ginsberg was a tax partner with Coopers and Lybrand where he serviced middle market clients and had the opportunity to head up the Manchester NH tax practice.
Services to the Profession
Professor Ginsberg has frequently presented on tax planning topics to groups including the Massachusetts and New Hampshire Society of CPA’s as well as the Merrimack Valley Venture Capital Forum.
He has served on the board of the Greater Lawrence Mental Health Center, and the Andover Soccer Association, where he was the treasurer. He is licensed as a C.P.A. in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, and is a member of both the American Institute and the Massachusetts Society of CPA’s.
