Distinguished Professor of Supply Chain Management Nada Sanders was recently elected as the Productions and Operations Management Society (POMS) President-Elect. The society is one of business academia's premier professional organizations and home to the flagship Production and Operations Management (POM) journal.

Sanders will serve in a number of leadership capacities over her three-year commitment. As President-Elect, she is already serving on the Executive Board, working closely with the current President on a vision for this large organization, and becoming familiar with various strategic, financial, and administrative issues.

Her official term as President begins January 1, 2019. At that time, she will be in charge of the full scope of POMS, including both the national and international regions, and she will preside over the annual POMS conference in Washington D.C. in May 2019.

During the third year of her term, Sanders will serve as Past-President, chairing key committees, and ensuring the ongoing success of her vision and initiatives.

“This appointment is a testament to Nada's stature as a researcher and contributor to the business discipline. D'Amore-McKim is fortunate to have engaged scholars like Nada who are passionate about making a significant impact in their respective fields,” said Dunton Family Dean Raj Echambadi.
