Q:What skills are you building in the D'Amore-McKim MSIB program that you will use in your future career?
A:The most prominent skill that I am building is how to function effectively in a group. I am learning the art of optimization and productivity which will surely be most useful in my future career. I can say with complete confidence that the MSIB program has helped me polish my public speaking and further develop my research abilities. These, too, will be instrumental in the future.
Q:What would you say to a colleague considering enrolling in the MSIB program?
A:I would certainly recommend the Northeastern MSIB to a colleague, predominantly because of the quality of the education. The teaching methodology is practical and puts students in real-life situations through simulations, relevant case studies and presentations etc. The brilliant minds one is exposed to and the research opportunities that one can obtain are amazing.
Q:Why did you choose the D'Amore-McKim MSIB?
A:This program provides freedom of choice in terms of its electives and the flexibility that the school offers is significant. The IFS is a big plus and the events and expos the school holds for its students provide ample exposure to companies and their employees. All these networking events prove to be a huge help in building one's career.
Q:What has been your biggest take-away from earning your MSIB at Northeastern so far?
A:Research opportunity. I was able to chose my research topic in an area that interested me and could dedicate my time to building a solid base for my career. The professors, in addition to being engaging, are also inspiring and help every step of the way providing valuable advice and aid.
Q:Where do you see yourself in 5 or 10 years?
A:I see myself as a prominent figure in the field of marketing research as a result of my Northeastern education and as having established a market research firm in India focusing on emerging markets.
