In September, Izabella Pivo, DMSB'25, received a second-place prize on behalf of Northeastern from the Hult Prize for Program of the Year. The program asks students to pitch startup ideas around a sustainable development goal. This year's theme was sustainable fashion.

“I think what Northeastern has is really unique,” she said. “It was impactful that (that) was recognized on a global scale. Northeastern is an up-and-coming place for social entrepreneurship.”

After realizing there wasn't a student org combining entrepreneurship and sustainability, Pivo and Rohan Surana, DMSB'25, brought the Hult Prize competition to Northeastern last year, hosting a qualifying pitch event for 15 groups. They plan to host the event again in February 2024.
