The year was 1993. By then, Dodge Hall was firmly established as the home base for Northeastern's College of Business Administration, and the finishing touches on building renovations were almost complete. Dean David Boyd and his colleagues decided it would be a great time to put a time capsule into the building's new walls that could be unearthed and explored in 2022 during the school's 100th anniversary.

The good news: it was found!

The even better news: it's time to celebrate!

The whole D'Amore-McKim community is invited to witness history as we open the time capsule, explore its contents, and celebrate on the Quad like it's 1993. In addition to the time capsule opening in front of Dodge Hall**, which will also be live streamed on Facebook, we'll have:

  • A whole bunch of D'Amore-McKim 100 prizes to win (both in person and via social)
  • Birthday snacks to share
  • A giant birthday card to sign
  • Lawn games
  • A DJ playing all the hits from the early '90s

It will be the perfect time to hang out with your fellow students, alumni, and colleagues and have a little fun.

We hope you can join us!

** Weather permitting. If there's inclement weather, the time capsule opening will be held in the Dodge Hall lobby.
