Panelists

Jake Mechanic (MSA) received his bachelor's in accounting from SUNY Geneseo. He spent his undergraduate experience studying various aspects of the business world (specifically business and personal financials) and learned about the importance of saving for a rainy day. Jake hopes to leverage his accounting background into becoming a financial consultant who helps families and startup companies create plans for future financial stability.

Emma Boughton (MSA) declared a major in accounting within weeks of moving on campus and joining Northeastern's undergraduate freshman class with the hopes of one day working at a Big Four firm. At that time, she saw Northeastern's MSA program as an aspirational goal, and believed attaining a public accounting co-op was completely out of reach. Emma hopes to start working full time in tax at PwC in October of 2021. Enrolling in Northeastern's MSA program will enabled her  to further specialize in accounting, so that she will be poised for a successful accounting career.
