Panelists

Bob McGann, Director of Real Estate and Acquisitions, Colbea Enterprises | Seasons Corner Market

Bob McGann has been actively involved in mergers and acquisitions as growth vehicles for the past thirty years in corporate Vice President and Director roles for two distinct organizations based in New England.  

This experience is augmented by an MBA degree from Northeastern University that focused on acquisitions and investment analysis as well as leading a research project that compared the amount of resources allocated to R&D before and after a target company was acquired. He also holds a BS degree from Bridgewater State University, as well as affiliations and certifications with various industry and real estate development trade groups.  

Mr. McGann is currently employed in a joint venture 50 percent owned by Shell Oil and leads all growth and development efforts for new fuel sites and acquisitions. His prior role was on behalf of a closely held private organization that grew primarily by the acquisition of multi-site retailers in the petroleum and convenience sectors. The values of these acquisitions ranged between $25 million and $200 million and involved both Stock Sales and Asset Sales that required various valuation techniques. 

Mr. McGann is also an Adjunct Professor in the Boston area teaching graduate-level Real Estate Development courses as a means of single-site development as well as the basis for due diligence in both single-site and multi-site growth initiatives. In addition, he volunteers as a Mentor assisting students and young professionals in defining career paths. Bob resides in Hanover, MA with his wife Nancy and are proud parents of their daughters Amy and Ashley, who reside in Wyoming and Colorado, respectively.  

Overall, his practical and academic experience has made him a well-rounded professional in the world of mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions of assets.

John LoMedico, Vice President of Business Development, Acacia Communications acquired by Cisco

John LoMedico has 40 years of sales, marketing, business development, and management experience in the Communications Semiconductor industry. He joined Acacia Communications as part of the founding team in 2009 as VP of Global Sales and Business Development. Acacia designs and builds fiber optic transceivers used to build the backbone of the internet. Acacia was acquired by Cisco Systems in 2021 where LoMedico continues in his role in Business Development.

Before joining Acacia, Mr. LoMedico was VP of WW Sales and helped start Chil Semiconductor, a power management semiconductor company from 2006-2009. Prior to Chil, Mr. LoMedico was VP of Marketing for the Transport Product Line at Applied Micro Circuits Corp (AMCC). AMCC made communications chips used in data telecommunications networks. Before joining Cimaron/AMCC, Mr. LoMedico spent 10 years in increasingly senior sales, marketing, and management positions in National Semiconductor's Local Area Network (LAN) Division.
