About the Event

The Emerging Markets minor equips students with the context, tools, and networks to understand and engage with high-growth economies. This in-person panel brings together current students from across colleges to discuss what the minor looks like in practice, from coursework and faculty mentorship to co-ops, Dialogues, and independent research.

Learn how the minor pairs with different majors, which classes and opportunities made the biggest difference, and how to chart your own path toward globally focused roles in business, policy, and development.

Registration preferred. Light refreshments will be provided. This event is open to ALL undergraduate students at Northeastern University!

Student Experience

Sebastian Curiel
The Emerging Markets minor has allowed me to explore my passion for understanding the intersection between financial markets and international headlines, helping me analyze how global events shape investment trends and economic development across regions.

Rajvi Shah
I took up the Emerging Markets minor my second year after completing an internship at an investment management firm based in the Asian markets. This got me really interested in the Emerging Markets and the amount of potential they have. Through the minor I have been able to conduct personal research on the Korean markets and be a part of Professor Ravi Ramamurti's class which has been a great experience.”

Who Should Attend

Undergraduates from any college who are curious about global business, policy, and development, and want firsthand advice on pairing the Emerging Markets minor with their major.
