Meet Phinix and Samir:

Phinix Knight-Jacks is the Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions. She manages the recruitment and admissions process for the MS in Finance and MS in Quantitative Finance programs. Phinix develops meaningful relationships with future learners to help them select the program that best fits their educational needs and professional goals. She spends her time recruiting future learners through virtual and in-person events, counseling applicants, and reviewing applications to make admissions decisions.

Prior to her time at Northeastern, Phinix worked as a Career Program Specialist at The Posse Foundation, where she supported 180+ undergraduate students and alumni and managed corporate partner relationships. She also held recruiting roles at Boston Consulting Group and Akamai Technologies.

Samir Saueressig is the Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions, He specializes in recruiting future learners for our campus-based MS in International Management and MS in Management programs. As a member of the graduate admissions team, he reviews applications, communicates with applicants, and conducts interviews. He also enjoys forming connections with prospective students by hosting admissions events and workshops and representing the D'Amore-McKim School of Business at admissions fairs and forums.

Prior to joining D'Amore-McKim, Samir worked for Northeastern as a Country Representative and Special Projects Assistant, where he helped contribute to the success of the graduate business programs recruiting and enrolling efforts by executing outreach strategies for prospective students. Previously, Samir worked for Converse, developing and implementing Brand Marketing Strategies in Brazil and was a member of the U.S. Global Marketing and Product Development team at Hasbro.
