Charles Fok, DMSB'26, chose the D'Amore-McKim School of Business for its wealth of resources, global exposure, and the Boston campus's vibrant location. Here, he found a supportive community and countless opportunities to grow both personally and professionally.
During his first co-op at Daigle & Associates LLP, a tax consulting firm, Fok described his experience as “being thrown into the deep end.” This dynamic role allowed him to explore new projects and build foundational skills that will serve him well in his future career in real estate.
He is currently studying abroad at the University of Hong Kong, which he says is a highlight of his Northeastern experience. As he shared during his Instagram takeover for D'Amore-McKim, “Studying abroad is truly transformative—it pushes you to step out of your comfort zone and gives you a fresh outlook on the world.” His posts gave a behind-the-scenes look at the vibrant culture, weekend travels, and culinary adventures that shaped his time there.
While on the Boston campus, Fok balances his academic life with his passions: the NU Real Estate Club and the Men's Club Hockey Team. Both deepen his knowledge of the real estate industry, foster friendships, and keep him active.
In addition to his studies and co-op experiences, Fok is also the co-founder of Campus Market, a college campus platform often described as a “college eBay.” With a recent soft launch, Campus Market offers unique features that set it apart from competitors, aiming to create a more connected marketplace for students.
Fok's advice to future Huskies? “Approach every opportunity with an open mindset,” he says, quoting Steve Jobs: “You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backward.”
