Vivek Sharma is a seasoned board leader, investor, and philanthropist, currently serving as Executive Chairman of Cohance Life Sciences, a global pharmaceutical manufacturing company. He also serves on the boards of Konovo, a Boston-based market research firm, and Agilix Health, a Boston-based nutrition platform.
With more than 25 years of global leadership experience across the life sciences and financial sectors, Vivek brings a distinctive combination of expertise in pharmaceutical services, data analytics, and artificial intelligence. His leadership philosophy centers on aligning the interests of investors, customers, and employees to drive sustainable growth and long-term value creation.
Vivek has held several prominent leadership roles within the Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) sector. He previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Piramal Pharma Solutions, where he led the company's global expansion and operational scale-up. He later served as Chairman and CEO of Adare Pharma Solutions and as CEO of Decision Resources Group, a leading healthcare analytics company. Most recently, he was CEO of Saama Technologies, an AI-driven clinical analytics firm, further strengthening his experience at the intersection of life sciences and advanced analytics. In recognition of his industry impact, Vivek was named Global CEO of the Year by the CPhI Pharma Awards in 2015.
Vivek holds an Executive MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and is both a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Beyond his professional roles, he is deeply committed to philanthropy, supporting initiatives focused on women's empowerment, education, social advocacy, and environmental sustainability. He has served on the board of CEM since 2019 and actively advises several biotechnology and technology start-ups.
