Riya Ananthanpillai is pursuing a combined major in International Business & International Affairs with concentrations in Global Strategy and Fintech, as well as two minors in Emerging Markets and Artificial Intelligence. Having grown up in Dubai, she has seen the rise of Emerging Markets in the Middle East, which fueled her desire to learn more about them and understand cross-cultural differences between various markets.
She was a Research Fellow at the United Nations in Geneva, which allowed her to research and understand the shifting power dynamics of small and middle powers. Through Professor Ruth Aguilera’s Emerging Markets class, she gained greater technical skills through the various case studies she analyzed.
As a CEM Student Associate, Riya is excited to gain key insights from industry professionals and contribute to faculty-led research, deepening her knowledge in the international business world.
