Leopold is a dual International Affairs and International Business major with a minor in Emerging Markets. Originally from Houston, Texas, he grew up living overseas—primarily in Mexico City, but also in Kenya, Panama, and the Netherlands. His interest in emerging markets stems from this international background and his deep fascination with global business strategy, the unique potential that emerging markets offer, and the political complexities associated with them.
At Northeastern, Leopold continuously engages with the Center for Emerging Markets, primarily through his role as Vice President of the LatAm Business Club, but also through events such as the CEM Case Competition and Market Entry Debate. He has participated in a Dialogue of Civilization program where he visited the United Nations in Geneva and explored the intersection of global diplomacy and AI. He has also completed a co-op at the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C., where he served as a desk officer for the Office of Mexican Affairs.
As a CEM Associate, Leopold hopes to engage with faculty, conduct research, and support the center's various programming events.
