Bhavya Kumar Banka is a Business Administration student at Northeastern University with concentrations in Finance and International Business and a minor in Economics. Having lived in India, Dubai, London, and now Boston, Bhavya has developed a strong interest in how businesses operate across different markets and how economic, cultural, and regulatory environments shape commercial success.

His global background has given him firsthand exposure to both developed and emerging economies, inspiring a deeper curiosity about international growth, investment trends, and market transformation. He is particularly interested in the ways emerging markets drive innovation, entrepreneurship, and long-term economic development.

At Northeastern, Bhavya has actively engaged in student leadership and professional development initiatives. He currently serves as Mentorship Program Director for International Students in Business, where he helps build programs that support student growth, networking, and career readiness. He has also attended multiple Center for Emerging Markets events, including the Vivek and Vandana Sharma India Lecture Series, which further strengthened his interest in global business issues.

Professionally, Bhavya has gained experience through internships in finance, insurance, and operations, where he worked on market analysis, business strategy, and client-focused projects. As a CEM Student Associate, he hopes to contribute through event planning, research support, and helping expand student engagement with emerging market topics across campus.
