The Center for Emerging Markets (CEM) at Northeastern University is delighted to announce that the Revvity Foundation has just endowed the Revvity Access CEM Scholarship.

The Revvity Access CEM scholarship aims to help full-time graduate and undergraduate students with financial need who are the first generation in their family to go to college and/or who are international students. The scholarship could enable these students to benefit from Northeastern University's rich experiential learning opportunities, such as international co-ops, study abroad or international field-study programs, or engage more deeply with CEM's projects and initiatives.

We are grateful to Prahlad Singh (MBA ‘00), President and Chief Executive Officer at Revvity, and Joel Goldberg (MBA and JD ‘96), Senior Vice President, Administration, General Counsel, and Secretary at Revvity, for making this scholarship possible.

Prahlad Singh has a long association with CEM. He has served on its Advisory Board since 2018, presented at its symposium on business strategy in China in 2019, hosted CEM board meetings at Revvity headquarters in Waltham, Massachusetts, and spoken to CEM Director Ravi Ramamurti's students many times. He also shared his advice for students in the D'Amore-McKim School of Business' Lessons in Leadership series.

Along with the CEM scholarship, the Revvity Foundation also endowed a scholarship to advance STEM education for undergraduate students at Northeastern University – the Revvity STEM Access Scholarship.

Sharing his hopes for the two scholarships, Singh said, “We are impressed with Northeastern University's success over the many decades in educating and shaping the minds of our next generation. Through the Revvity Access CEM Scholarship and Revvity Access STEM Scholarship, we hope to further advance this endeavor and make a difference in these students' lives. When you invest in young people, it will bear fruit down the road in terms of advancing social and economic progress.”

Goldberg added, “Our Revvity Access scholarships align with our Foundation's aims and are designed to open doors for students, particularly those passionate about the health and sciences fields, to positively impact lives down the road.”

Thanking Revvity for its generosity, CEM Founding Director Ramamurti said: “This gift has a deep personal meaning, because I got to know Prahlad Singh 25 years back when he was a member of Northeastern's MBA Case Competition team and I was its faculty coach. He is a great role model for our students. We are honored and touched by Revvity's generosity.”

The Revvity Foundation's vision is built around being a global citizen that enables the advancement of science and healthcare for everyone. These scholarships underline Revvity's dedication to equipping the next generation of leaders and innovators with the skills necessary to address global challenges.
