Community Impact Initiative
Build your experience while earning your degree
At D'Amore-McKim, experience-driven learning is at the core of everything we do. Whether you're looking to advance in your current career, pivot to a new industry, or both, applying your classroom knowledge in real-world settings will be an invaluable part of your journey.
Serve your community with your expertise
Apply what you've learned in the classroom to a position at a non-profit. These team-based experiential opportunities offer rewarding, educational work in business analytics and beyond.
During your Community Impact Initiative, you'll undertake a strategic business project with a nonprofit, meet with senior leadership, a project manager and your peers regularly, and help an organization achieve its mission. A Community Impact Initiative is the perfect opportunity to gain work experience, a diverse set of skills, and network with industry professionals.
Timeline
Community Impact Initiatives last 8-12 weeks during the Summer term, are part-time unpaid positions, and are typically completed remotely.
How to secure a Community Impact Initiative
Each student must fill out an application form with the Graduate Career Center specifying which projects they want to pursue. The student will first be screened, and then the nonprofit will review the application and accept students they feel will be a strong fit for their project and team.
